Puppet Heads project takes shape

I have long been looking for ways in which to speed up the carving of puppet heads. A standard marionette head could take anything up to 40 hours to complete. If you multiply that by the number of heads in a new play, then it quickly becomes a very time consuming part of any new production. I am investigating various methods of character building using a range of formulas and pre-determined models to create stock character types suitable for all sorts of operation and productions.
